JITI is a rare combination of a fully fledged technical training institute and a teaching factory. A pure training establishment lacks the dynamism of a factory dedicated to the design, development and manufacture of equipment for the industrial and service sectors.
Realizing this fact, based on the vision of the founders of the Jinasena Group Dr. Tissa Jinasena designed this unique environment to fulfill an urgent need for an institution capable of designing, developing and manufacturing equipment required to build a sustainable future in the fields of transport, manufacturing, agriculture, food processing and housing.
JITI along with other agencies within the group train young minds to focus on the global problems of energy, raw material depletion, climate change and environmental degradation needs and research on developing urgent solutions at local level.
